Enhancing Care with Safe & Effective Technology

People-first care, supported by trusted technology. We use NHS England–assured digital social care records (DSCR), so your plan is always up to date and right at our carers’ fingertips. That means real-time, person-centred care plans and risk assessments, safe electronic medications (eMAR), and electronic call monitoring (ECM) so visits are reliable and on time.

With clear quality dashboards, we spot patterns early and keep improving our governance. Families who want extra peace of mind can use our Family Portal for gentle, real-time updates. Where it’s available locally, we can view key information via GP Connect (where enabled by the GP practice / ICB) to support safer handovers with health partners.

People decide; tech supports

Digital tools help us work smarter, but clinical decisions are always made by qualified staff. We’ll never replace professional judgement with an app.

  • Person-centred assessments, reviews and outcomes
  • Clear escalation pathways and on-call support
  • Evidence-based care with professional oversight

A few examples of how our care technology helps

Carer App

Our carers use a secure mobile app to record care notes, medication, and wellbeing updates in real time. Information is accurate, up to date, and shared with the wider care team—so we spend less time on paperwork and more time giving care where it matters most.

  • Real-time notes & tasks
  • Safe eMAR & prompts
  • ECM for reliable visits

Family App

Families can stay connected and reassured. With secure access, you can see care updates, notes, and wellbeing information at any time, wherever you are—bringing transparency and a stronger connection with your care team.

  • Private, read-only updates
  • Wellbeing summaries
  • Optional notifications

GP Connect

We are connected with GPs via the NHS-approved GP Connect service (where available). With read-only access we can view key information, such as current prescriptions and relevant medical history, supporting safer handovers and aligned care.

  • Up-to-date medication lists
  • Relevant clinical history
  • Safer, quicker handovers

Private and secure by default

Access is role-based and protected with checks and authentication. Everything is time-stamped with a full audit trail, and we keep simple paper fallbacks for the rare occasions systems are offline.

  • Role-based access & authentication checks
  • Time-stamped audit trails
  • Offline fallbacks for continuity

Putting people first

By using these tools together, we deliver care that is more personalised, transparent and reliable. Families stay better informed, carers are better supported, and health professionals have the right information at the right time—all to make care safer and more effective.

  • Fewer missed or late visits with ECM alerts
  • Safer medication support with eMAR checks
  • Faster responses to changing needs
  • Better continuity and communication
  • Acting proactively before things escalate

Common questions

Can I opt in or out of the Family Portal?

Yes. Family access is optional and only granted with the service user’s consent (or appropriate legal authority). You can change your preferences at any time.

Does this replace paper entirely?

No. We keep simple paper fallbacks for business continuity and can provide printed care plans or visit logs on request.

Is my information shared with anyone else?

We only share information where it’s necessary for care or where we are legally required—see our Privacy & Cookies for details.
